Style Guide

Here's a small style guide to help you choose what outfits will work best for you. The main rule to keep in mind when you start planning your family's outfits is complement and coordinate but don't get too matchy. The days of putting everyone in all black t-shirts and jeans are OVER!! If everything matches how will everyones personalities show. Just imagine a color palette that you love, and suites your personal style or even your home decor. Choose outfits that compliment each other's instead of being matchy matchy. Everyone should have their own unique look and style without clashing in the photos. I personally like neutrals with a few pops of color or a softer palette that has different rages in tone the same shades.

How do I dress my family?

I suggest that the woman (mom) choose an outfit that she feels confident and beautiful in. Then plan the color palette and the rest of the family outfits around that. If you have a fun patterned outfit you love, limit the use of pattern to one person. That way they will pop, but try to coordinate with the rest of the family. Multiple patterns do not photograph well. If you're having trouble choosing you can lay out all of the outfits and take a photo of everything together. That way you can decide between the outfits and also get a second opinion from friends. Please do not hesitate to ask me for help, I'm here to help you look your best!!

Accessories

You can get multiple looks from one outfit without having to do a complete outfit change. They can also be something fun for you to interact with while taking the photos. Do not be afraid to layer your clothing as this can add some dimension to your outfit. This can include a belt, scarf, cardigan, jewelry, shoes, hats, etc.. Please keep accessories on babies to a minimum as it can overwhelm and distract them.
